Lauren + Chris | An Elegant September wedding at Manchester Country Club

A couple in wedding attire stands closely in an open field with the woman's veil flowing in the breeze under a clear blue sky.

Lauren and Chris were married on a gorgeous, early September day in 2021 at the Manchester Country Club in Bedford, NH. They were drawn to the venue because they have always loved the scenic golf course and have often visited the club for lunch with family – always appreciating the fantastic food and service.

The couple met through mutual friends and played fantasy football together for years. They decided to go on a date after one of the fantasy football drafts and get to know each other better. Three years after they started dating, Chris proposed on a lake in Maine; they were married one year later.

The couple wanted an elegant wedding – They chose a black and white theme, complemented by white flowers and greenery for the florals. Kim Perilli, a colleague, and nurse at Massachusetts Eye and Ear provided the flowers.

Some of the couple’s favorite touches to the day were:

Lauren’s Canadian family couldn’t make it in person to the celebration because of pandemic travel restrictions. As a special gesture, the couple decided on a unique way to include their Canadian family in the event – they hired the Bruins’ Anthem Singer to sing The National Anthems for the United States and Canada . Lauren and Chris found that this helped soften the absence of the family members that they would have loved to celebrate with.

For the couple’s first dance, DJ Eddy Rose played, You are the best thing by Ray Lamontagne. Lauren had always been a fan of the song, and she had introduced it to Chris, since she genuinely believes that he is the best thing in her life.

“It was always a special song to me that I introduced to Chris because I truly feel that he is the best thing.”

Lauren and Chris shared some highlights of their wedding day they enjoyed the most.

“The pictures with our bridal party especially with the golf cart, our first dance, all of the introductions into the reception, all of the dancing… too many to choose from!”
